Subject: ballast Inductor Choke coil

Hi I was browsing through Bert Pool's website and noticed that on his
plans for conventional tesla coils he shows that he uses a 15mH Inductor
instead of an arc welder

this pic can be seen at http://www.ticnet-dot-com/bertpool/cont.gif

I was wondering how many turns overall are used and on what form is it
air cored or ferrite cored?

I know that Bert is on Holiday at the moment so I was wondering if there
is anyone familiar with Bert's design to explain it me.

Thanks

Matt
