The noise suppression is just some self-adesive foam foil, same that is
used inside cars to reduce
motor noise.

There is no air flowing in or out my RSG: it stays cool and I suppose it
only benefits from running in an
atmosphere with reduced oxygen.

How does the noise suppression insulation work for the spark gap? I
assume you have air flowing through it?
