I built one using 1/4 inch window glass.

W= Glass
AL= AL foil

  WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW        <-1/4 Window glass 12x20 inch
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm     <-was 0.01 inch Mylar 
    AL-------------------------AL          <-was 10x6 inch AL foil 
This is just 1 part we stacked 8
and connected them like normal.
we ran 10KV -at-30ma
