No. one should not use asynchronous RSGs with NSTs. Because of the
tendancy for skipped firings, high voltages may ring up to the points
where the NST will die. Sync-gaps avoid this probablem sonce, if properly
made, they will fire at every alignment of the electrodes (or however you
set it up). Rotaries in general are hard on NSTs, as the arc is
continuously drawn out to it's maximum distance, stressing the Neon.
