20KV 1 Amp connectors

The best I can come up with would be to use x-ray tube plugs and sockets.
These cables are rated at 100KV and carry 10-15 amps of filament current for
the tube. Connections are via a "Federal Standard" 1.5625 inch diam plug
with contact points at the end, about 4-5 inches long, with a screwdown ring
on the back (like an amp military connector sort of). Connections are
performed under oil or dielectric grease. Grounded shield.

They won't be cheap but these cables are available off the shelf in lengths
up to 75 ft. Used to route power (150kv 400 ma typ) from the HV generation
equipment - through the walls, ceilings etc to the x-ray tube in the
adjacent room. Usually the filament operates at about 70-80KV from ground
and passes 10- 15 amps depending on the specifics. This filament circuit
would fit your needs.

One possible source would be:
Progeny, Inc

fax (847) 342-0771

Information dated 11/96. Area code may have changed.

Ask about their "Eureka Polyflex" cables. I have no idea if they have a
website or not.

How many do you need? If you have something cool to trade perhaps I can
scavenge up a set?

If you are exceedingly desperate - I have another contact at an x-ray tube
mfg facility - perhaps he can tell us where he gets his connectors etc...
