Re: pole pig needed

All,
I bought my pig from a refurbusher. There is a PCB free sticker
on the transformer and the reciept says certified no pcbs.
PCBs are a hazard that need to be taken seriously and the costs
of proper disposal somwhere in the future need to be
weighed against that "free" pig vs. one that is certified
to be safe from hazardous chemicals and can be purchased
at a nominal cost
Thats all for now. I'm back in the weeds.
Glenn.

Doctor,
How should I ask this?? ....Well, Would you still advise avoiding a PCB
filled transformer if it can obtained without a bunch of paper work
attached to
it?
Hard to imagine that a single unit obtained, say, at a junk yard would ever
be discovered by the EPA.
I'm not one to advocate flaunting the law. On the other hand, the EPA is an
agency out of control, in my opinion. Do I hear you saying that PCB pigs
should
be avoided completely?
