Re: Break down voltage of pop bottles

Chris,

For my first coil I used many of the 20 oz Mountain Dew 'Quick Slam'
botlles, which I assume are the same material and thickness as the 2L's?
I ussed a 10kV 23mA Obit and a single bottle thickness would usuually
fail in about 20 seconds of use. I then put two banks in series and only
once had a faliure again, and that was due to corona. I must say I never
had great success with plastic botles, but the corona climbing up the
walls of the bottles was really neat.
