hello,

        I've been on the list a few months, but this is my first post.
I have built several TC in the past, but they were all relatively small.
I'm working on an experiment that will require a big Tesla Coil.  Since
I have never built a large coil before, I need some pointers on
construction.  I especially need advice on construction of a RSG and
current limiting for a pole pig.  Also, for a large coil, is solid
copper wire with 600V pvc insulation ok for the secondary, or do I
really need to use magnet wire?

    The only parts I have are as follows:
10 kva  20 kV distribution transformer
10" by 60" pvc pipe
50'   0.5" soft copper pipe
