Bob, Yes, drill the two slabs together. I wrapped them firmly in duct tape and made the marks and measurements directly on the tape. If you don't have a drill press, get someone to help you so you can sight on the drill at right angles. Gotta be perpendicular. Cheers. Ralph Zekelman
