This coil is severely out of tune with 0.7 uF at the primary and no
top load at the secondary. I calculate that the primary is resonating
at 39 kHz and the secondary at 1.7 MHz. 1" sparks is very good if
you gave the right values... (0.7 nF? Looks closer, but is too small)
You have to use a smaller primary capacitor, in the nF range, and
less primary turns if you want some output. A terminal at the secondary
will allow a larger primary capacitor and more power at the output.
