Well, We're gonna have to find an optrician willing to let us try it with his 
lasers.  Anywho, whether .01W or .01J makes little difference.

As for the idea about dangerous things, just remember that even an atom bomb 
is safe until detonated.  Take safety first and you'll be fine.  Miss a spot 
and you'll regret.  The point - the laser idea is fine is a laser can be 
required... just keep it away from potentially hazardous sources and from 
things that the laser would pose a threat to.  Don't play limbo under the 
laser beam or have a staring contest with the UV radiation emitting from the 
beam, and you should be fine.
