Hi Chris,

It's about an eighth of an inch thick, and it is indeed a very hard alloy
(If you got the beefyer one). It took a while for my drill to poke through.
We are going to have to make sure our coils are anchored better than the way
I have been running mine. I used a cable spool piece to support my primary
(from the bottom) and secondary. It has a two inch diameter hole in the
center so I just thread up my copper ground ribbon, bolt it to the secondary
and allow the secondary to simply rest on the support. It makes for a quick
disconnect because I stow the larger secondary in the closet when I am not
running it. This would not be a safe set up with my new torroid if I run the
coil outdoors because it will be top heavy (My secondary is lighter than the
torroid) and the slightest breeze will knock it over. I've got some
reengineering to do!

Sue
