Congrats!!! I thought they might be around a 12", but 8" is ok too. There are
several areas to upgrade to put out longer streamers from a 15/30 NST. John
Freau is getting 40+ out of his. Obviously, the sparkgap and cap type are the
two areas in need of work. I would recommend the MMC. Caps were always the
hardpart -  lot's of work in rolling your own caps, expensive to buy, and most
of all, limited a coils parameters for "change". MMC's have revolutionized
these problems - great time to be a coiler - really!

The spark gap needs to be cooled. Ed Sonderman and others have been discussing
series gaps recently. I would consider something along their designs and ensure
you incorporate cooling.

Anywhere you can improve system losses, should show itself in output arc
length. No need to upgrade the power. A 15/30 NST can put out some decent arcs.

BTW, since your at 10.5" on your primary inner turn diameter, where did you end
up on your tuning point? About 9.5?
