To all, Recently i have constructed a toroid for my new coil out of two 22" grill grates and 6" flexible alum ducting, i arc welded the grates together using the handles as spacers and wrapped the ducting around the form. What i am wondering is this, since the middle of the toroid is not solid, but a grill grate, does it signifigantly affect the self capacitance of the toroid? Thanks! Brad DiGiovine
