Use two filters.  Run one forward and connect the second directly to it
running backwards.  Also be sure to put some 130 volt MOV varisters on the
load side of the backwards running filter and also between the two filters.
You can also epoxy some long 1/4 inch bolts into a 5 inch longer piece of 2
inch ID PVC pipe and make a nice RF hash filter.  Run one in both hot and
neutral leg between the load and the first filter.  This "softens" things a
bit before it hits the RF filter.

Nomal power line ground is fine on the filters.
