That crystal ball sounds like the one that was designed and given
to three honorees at the First Annual Telluride Tech Festival, held
Aug. 11-14, this year.  If its the same ball, it should be about 4" in
diameter.  There's a link to the Telluride Tech web site on my
links page at www.ttr-dot-com.  Actually, three balls were made and
given to the three honorees of the festival, Dr. Raymond Kurzweil,
John Perry Barlow, and Richard Stallman. I was there for this event
and demonstrated my Model 5M magnifier (throwing 12 foot
long arcs), right out in the middle of Main Street (with the town
courthouse and stepel in the immediate background, just like in
the original "Back to the Future" movie), for four nights in a row.
That festival was a huge success and I am looking forward to
going back to Telluride again, this year.
