 Is 20nF the same as 20,000 mF or have I got my nanopicofaradmicolitis all
 confused?

 It sure would be easier on us electrically challenged newbies, if we all did
 speak in the same units. >>

Hi Garry,

Just remeber it like this:

pF = (picoFarad) or mmF (micromicroFarad) = 10 (-12) Farads
nF = (nanoFarad) -------------------------------------  = 10 (-9)  Farads

uF or mF = (microFarad) ---------------------------- = 10 (-6)  Farads

10 (-12) is read -- [10 to the negative twelth power -- one trillionth]
10 (-9) is read -- [10 to the negative ninth power -- one billionth]
10 (-6) is read -- [10 to the negative sixth power -- one millionth]

Therefore, 1 uF = 1000 nF = 1,000,000 pF
