What about generic car ignition coils, like a 12v bosh blue ignition coil?

	I have worked with both here.  The GM HEI coils put out much higher
voltages when hit with an SCR or Triac/Quadrac capacitor discharge
driver, but the Accel coils have a lower secondary inductance and will
charge a larger capacitor.
