RE: mmc caps

My very first coil was run (and very poorly I might add) with about 30 oil
filled GE caps that came out of protective relays used in the EHV yards.
They were not run caps, but were of the same material and construction. They
were good, but out of tolerance for their purposes. I don't blame the caps
for the poor performance, just my own failings. They did get warm though
(even hot on a couple) and I chose not to use them again.

Hi Terry,coilers,
Has anyone made a mmc out of oil run caps? I have 66 4uf 440vac caps and got
thinking why not?
