RE: Scanning electron microscope

Hi Tim

Electron microscopes have DC high voltage generators of the high voltage,
low current type. Typical are 100,000V and 0.1MA. The emphasis is on purity
and stability of the supply. Voltage ripples could cause focusing problems.
This power is too low for a tesla coil, but I would not walk away from the
power supply. If its free, take it. Interesting experiments can be done with
100,000V.
