But, shouldn't we be looking forward to multi kilowatt systems.  If your SS
gap is, say, 95% efficient, at 30 kW, you're still looking at dissipating
150W, which is certainly within air cooling range, but....  And, as you
move up to 100 kW and up... 

Actually, sinking the entire thing in oil or even running it in a
pressurized air tank at 5 Atm (the fan will still work just fine at 5 Atm
(although, a bit slower running from the increased load), but now, you get
5 times better transfer efficiency...
