$3 to $4 a pound is a good price for magnet wire. I get my wire from E.I.S

lb. (14ga) to $4.19 lb.(28ga) in 10 lb. spools. These particular quotes are
for heavy Nyleze wire. I live on the left coast, so the EIS near you will
have slightly different prices. Parawire is probably the highest I've seen
at $9 to $14 a pound. If you're a serious coiler/transformer rebuilder.
Buying wire 1500 ft. at a time is not cost efficient. The typical #10 roll
of 24ga. wire will be about 8200 feet.  Just FYI.

	I was just curious after speaking with a good friend of mine this

	cheaper than some others out there. I recently purchased a 10# spool

	24awg magnet wire for $38 (just had a price increase from $34) . If
this is
	truly cheaper than the norm, let me know. And if anybody out there
wants
	some, let me know too, and I'll see about getting some out. I have
not
	priced any other sizes, but I will be glad to check it out. This
supplier
	does not sell to the public, and I have be very fortunate (I think
and hope)
	that they have given me a good deal.
