Hi, I am not experienced in wire coatings but having worked for a printing
co. for 15 years. color has little to do with the properties suitable for
insulation of wire. (the printing co. used the same formvar base for a whole
rash of colors) and with the exception of colors with metal flake the
properties of the formvar was unchanged. Consult with the mfg. some wire is
coated with color for hobby use and may not be a good insulator like magnet
wire is. cul brian f.
