Ry, 

A pig w/out taps is one that only has one input primary 
voltage (14,400 volts in your case) They are not neccessary 
from a Tesla coiling perspective. I transformer that has taps 
will have a usually external switch that is labeled for different 
input voltages (example: 7200, 12470, 14400, ect). 

BTW, $150 is a pretty good deal on a pig. Care to share your 
with the rest of us? :-)
