Have valued the discussions and contributionson this:

A point of clarification on a posting I made a while back.

I seemed to have dropped a dwell of 450uS in to the mix.

This actually was an example on for my particular ASRG running very slow ie
50rev/sec and allowing a generous pre and post presentation period.

More realistic dwells at bps rates that I'd be more likely to use range from
190uS to 46uS if the thing is pushed to 300rev/sec. (For 300rev/sec I'd
reduce the number of statics BTW)

A point on your observation of trailing arcs Greg. Presumably an ARSG will
try to openduring the high current time on some occasions. This would be
particularly hard and would cause post presentation arcing. This may be why
assistance from a good static in series improves the "look" of the ARSG arc.
