Great Capacitor Dielectric!!!

Hello all!

I recently came upon some transparency film, the kind
used in presentations and i thot... hmmmm what if i
used this as a dielectric for a capacitor... so i
brought a few sheets of it home, and it works great!
its a nice compatable thickness, pretty tear
resistant, rugged, withstands heat well i would assume
because its used on hot surfaces of the projector! so
far i am just using it by charging it with my 7000V
ionizer supply... it has a reasonable ammount of
voltage puncture but due to their nice easy sheet
size, shape, they can be very easily doubled or
tripled or whatever you need... this seems like the
ideal dielectric for the HV/Tesla experimenter... I
checked pricing its about $7 american dollars for 60
sheets 8.5/11 or if your a highschooler you can just
ask your teachers to give you the stuff after they use
it... i would appreciate anyone giving me responces
on how it works for them if they try it, mabey somone
is knowledgable enough to figure out what exactly its
made of and waht it's dielectric constant is....

later,

Cory Roussel
