Just a thought...

what would happen if one were to submerge that air core cap in castor
oil, for instance? it seems like the capacitance and voltage rating would
both go up considerably, enough to make it useful as a small tuning cap
in series with tank caps?

I haven't been following the thread too well, so pardon if I'm being
redundant...
