what on earth!! you are going to tell us 
that it is altering the polaristion of 
your moon crystals in the room temperature  
water bubble fusion positronic drive that 
powers your coil next.

in what other sense do things conduct? the 
extra parasitic resistance could shunt the 
coil and fool the meter, ditto parasitic 
capacitance since no LCR meter actually 
measures DC inductance

no, 'charge' (read electrostatic field) 
does not affect the capacitance of things 
in it - like inductance it depends on 
geometry and materials.

thats fine - what i suggest you do is you 
measure a standard resistor with your 
multimter, then take the back off oyur 
multimeter and use a compass to allign the 
multimeter with london and then the 
calibration pot pointer with mecca. now 
maesure the resistor again. Hey presto - 
without even touching it you have changed 
the value of the resistor...

effective is the important term here - 
effective implies the apparent real world 
inductance that has parasitic C and R - 
what you measure is EFFECTIVE inductance -  
you appear to have a problem separating 
understnding that the real world deviates 
from theory not because the theory is 
worng but because it is incorreclty 
applied - if you were to factor in the 
parasitic R and C the readings will match 
but this is uneccesarily complicated for 
everyday use.

NO - effective and real are different in 
the same way that fact and fantasy, 
guesses and theory, right and wrong are 
all different

yes it is, if you change its shape - this 
includes the shape of the former, the 
shape of your test leads etc.
