I think it's very unlikely that the 6" dia pipe will give any better
results than the 4.5" pipe.  I've compared 4.2" and 6" forms,
and I didn't see any real difference.  My coil gives 38" sparks
from a typical 12/30 NST, and gives 42" sparks from a robust
12/30 NST.  I used 28awg wire on the coils.  I rewound the 6"
coil with 20awg wire as a test but got 10% shorter sparks.
