Original poster: "by way of Terry Fritz <twftesla-at-qwest-dot-net>" <MrGizmo28-at-aol-dot-com> Try spacing the resistor 1/4" off the board. I'm thinking the perfborard has a carbon track right through it and the resistors inulation just isn't enough.
