I thought of the MOT option too, but must wonder if Russia is as saturated
with microwave ovens as the U.S.? Worth a try, of course.

By the way, my wife wants to buy a new microwave, one with a turntable. You
know what that means! The old one happens to be an old Kenmoore which I
know to contain a great MOT. Hooray!
Can't have too many...

Want more power? Can't find a pole transformer in
Russia? Try Microwave Oven Transformers (MOTs). 4 or 6
of these in series will yield 8 to 12kvac at 6 to 9
Kilowatts. I bet you can find junked ovens pretty much
anywhere on the planet--even in Russia.
