Infinitely Adjustable Safety Gaps, A prelude to the Main Gap!

Hi Folks,
Design:
filter
variac
15/60nst (maybe two in the future)
Terry circuit
Static gap
#4 fine welding cable
.0106mfd (maybe twice)
8" X 29" X 1/4" G10 secondary w/#26wire
24" primary
experiment with toroids

As I work my way from the outlet to streamers, this is
but a step along the way. I'm "experimenting" with
this HV stuff they tossed at work. The black stuff, in
the picture, I found is 1/4" G10, Westinghouse used
for in-house HV test fixtures, I've intercepted
enroute to the dumpster. How can you go wrong with
stuff that was MADE to test HV with? They no longer do
the tests.

Thanks for your feedback. I wanna do this right and
the best I can. Hopefully this is a prelude to the
main gap.

I hope I can use these same components to make my main
gap, but with more G10 surface area around it.
