Me?  Not recently.  I did some time ago build a 2-layer copper tubing
primary, but the goal there was to achieve the necessary inductance in
less space than a 1-layer coil.

I thought I saw Gary post that you could wind more
than one layer of solid 12ga. wire around the primary?

Does this mean you would lay each circle of wire on
top of the next, thus building upwards, sort of like
stacking donuts??

If this could add efficiency/performance I'm willing
to give it a try. But how many layers ?....
