         What sort?
         The 'signage' type tube is long, lossy,
         limited power handling capability.
         The common (not really, now) 'bulb' type has
         tiny power handling capability.

         In either case, something close to a Poulsen arc
         CW generator comes to mind.  Needs a purpose built
         neon bulb to get any power handling capability.
