Hi All,
I have noticed that with some of the coils that I built also. When I did a
few of my Frankenstien productions the stage raised the coil an extra 3-4
feet off the concrete floor. The coils always seemed to work better there
than at home where the coil was only 1-2 feet off the floor. But I have
also seen coils perform well when the primary is only 6" off the floor, so
it may be a fine tunning issue.
