Really fun stuff! I'm glad you have been doing that.
Have you been keeping a log of the above analysis? I
would be interested in keeping a copy in my personal
archives. Such information would be extremely
valuable, especially considering the 15 year time
frame of the "study".

Yes. Not to mention the true indication of the worth
of any scientific theory. It must be able to make
predictions about nature that can be tested by
experiment and observation.

Luckily we have this great source of peer review here
on the TCML...plus a few people who have powerful and
accurately calibrated test equipment in their labs.

Perhaps with my next disruptive coil project, JHCTES
will provide a good size calculation for a "big arcs"
toroid.

Thank you for your compliments regarding my design
skills. I would like to think they were the primary
contributing factor to the great success with my 6"
system...if only I didn't know that luck was probably
an equal factor back then. I know a little bit more
than I did 5 years ago (thanks in no small part to the
TCML and all you guys excellent work with software
development) so perhaps my future coils will be able
to contribute more to our collective learning process.
I will definately utilize the power of JHCTES in my
upcoming projects (including a 12" or large disruptive
coil, an 833A VTTC, and more) as well as many, if not
all of the other TC design packages.

Thank you for taking the time to run my specs through
JHCTES. I am quite happy with the performance of
my 6" system for the power levels it processes.
When I inevitably scale up to a larger diameter
secondary and higher power tank, I will be consulting
your software for some of the design specs. Thanks
again.
