Gary,

I didn't know that TVA had any 750 kV power lines although I do know
that they have plenty of 500 kV ones ;^) There are about 3 or 4 sets
of them that come into the main substaion here in the metro Memphis
area that come from either Pickwick Dam or New Johnsonville Dam, both
on the Tennessee River about 100 miles or so east of here. BTW, they
had the guys in helicopters working on the 500 kV lines here a few
years ago and had a picture of them in the front page
of the local newspaper (coool!) They'd draw about a 3 to 4 foot arc
from the line as they "bonded on" with a "wand" grounded to the heli-
copter frame. Thats just the natural capacitance of the helicop-
ter's body that caused the sparking.

Say Gary, don't you live in Murfreesborough? I'm just outside of
Memphis in the far southwest corner of the Volunteer state ;^)
