  ac 43 is a good air dry varnish it has a dielect of2000 v  /mil there is 
a bc340 that has a dielect of 4100  v/mil it has to be baked at 275 degrees 
for 3hrs  will your form take the heat  ?

Hi JC,

Polyurathane will work, but can become brittle and crack later on. Dr. R
uses Glyptal (1201 red I think) to seal the tube, and Dolph's AC-43 varnish
to seal the windings. The AC-43 is an actual transformer winding varnish.
