SSTC Differential Voltage Probe - Preliminary Design

One of the difficulties which have or is plaguing most SSTC coilers is that
there isn't an easy way to view the output waveform of the SSTC coil due to
the
floating nature of the output.  At best, one can use an expensive
differential probe or use a combination of two probes which is problematic
as well since the
maximum input voltage to most oscilloscopes is limited.

I just finished a preliminary design of a simple 100:1 transformer based
voltage probe which is optimized and designed for operation between 50kHz
and 500kHz.
The design is completely passive and requires only six (6) components.  The
design isn't meant to reproduce input signals perfectly, but can get them
close enough to be
a good probe for monitoring what your SSTC output waveform looks like.  I'm
still working on optimizing the circuit, but have released a preliminary
version for now.

The circuit can be used for voltage waveforms up to 3000V+.   For permanent
monitor designs, the 100k required for this circuit can be doubled as the
bleeder resistor which is
especially important in the new voltage-multiplier SSTC inverter circuit.
