RSG electrode distance

Hi Coilers,

I just got my 1725rpm 1/8hp motor modified for sync operation. I am having
my G10 disk cut out tomorrow.
the disk is going to be 6.5". I want to run at 240bps. I'm using 1/8
tungsten rods mounted in the center
of drilled 3/8 bolts with set screws in the bolt heads. I was wondering if
2.25" is enough space between
electrode centers? I don't think I have enough hp for a bigger disk. I
guess I could put another gap on the other
side of the disk. What would be the best thing to do?

You know,,,, I only ground 1/2" flats on the rotor. It was 2 3/4" dia. It
locks in sync and stays even when I squeeze
the shaft hard with a towel. It takes a lot of drag to make it slip out.
Maybe I could use
a bigger disk?? What is the norm for this size motor?
