Back in the wild days of the MMC's beginning, oil immersion was 
considered....  But it is not needed at all.  The caps will do fine in 
air.  Also, oil may attack the cap's plastics and destroy them!!  I know of 
no reason to consider oil immersion...

Your inexpensive caps sound great!!  But usually there is a catch...  We 
seem to need the best highest tech caps available for our super hard use in 
Tesla coils.  but at that price, why not try ;-))
