Wire Size

I am getting things together for my next coil. I have a spool of wire I 
would like to use but I have a question before I wind it. I am thinking 
about a 6 or 8 in form. .The wire is insulated, stranded, silver plated, 
the OD of the wire is .038 the overall diameter with insulation is 
.050.  Should I use the .050 in the program as that will be the center to 
center spacing of the .038 wire???
