Thanks for all the responses.  Teri is sending an insulator to me and I 
plan to install it.  (Thanks!)
I bought something from eBay once that was damaged during shipping.  I made 
a claim and the USPS paid me and gave me the item back.  But, I was afraid 
this time that they might say, "Hey, I could use this!" and keep it!  I 
didn't want to chance that.
