Hi Terry,

It looks a lot like my Powerstat 1256 inside (at least to some extent) and I did eventually figured out how to pull the shaft. Glad you figured it out, else you could have brought it over and I'm sure we would have figured it out (he he). How much does that beast weigh and how do you ship it?? BTW, how does it compare to the 1256 that I believe is rated at 28amps.

Thanks for everyone's help!!! The last thing I wanted to do was take a chance of breaking the darn thing!!

There is a large diameter captive master shaft that holds the rotor with a 1/2 inch hole all through it. It simply clamped to the small 1/2 inch shaft with the two setscrews at the bottom. Once those two set screws are loose, the thing slides off as a complete unit:

So all is happy now!!!!  Just took a little patience and asking "first" ;-)))
