Thanks for the advice, I'm glad you warned me about the potential for danger before I found out the hard way. I had intended to enclose the primary coil in a plexiglass cover anyway, as an additional precaution against the primary voltages. With the advice I've been given, I'll now keep my hands away from the sparks as well. But are you sure it wouldn't hurt to touch it even for a second or two? Especially with the staccato controller set to produce a very narrow, low-frequency pulse?


Which brings the question; on just how big a VTTC would it be considered "safe" to touch the sparks??

I hope to get this going within the next few days (if none of the components are bad), once this is eventually completed and is visually presentable I will make some pictures available.
