Re: small secondary question

We'll need more info, like how big is your primary,
psu, cap, gap, and topload. If you're placing this
inside a primary, cap, gap, etc. from a larger coil,
such as a 4", that may be your problem. Try getting a
magnifying glass and a ruler and count the turns in an
inch or half an inch and estimate your turns. Then run
JavaTC or FANTC to get an idea of where you need to be
with your other parts. You can wind a primary out of
scrap wire to find a tuning point. Then you can build
it pretty.

I assume you already know this, but the LC of the
primary have to match the LC of the secondary. Not
knowing your secondary turns makes that kinda hard.
You might get lucky, or you might find you need more
primary turns than you have.
