Hi all,
I remember reading somewhere about some style of a spark gap I have never heard of called a "quench gap". What exactly is it and has anyone ever used one of these?
Thanks in advance.

Probably this:

It is a series of gaps separated by water tanks for cooling.

The gaps are metal disks with rised centers separated by mica washers.

This gap belongs to an old diathermy machine made by Siemens, that is
nothing more than a small spark gap Tesla coil.
