What stress?  It's putting out 120VAC, presumably at some current within its
rated capacity.  Hopefully, your TC's not feeding back high voltage spikes
into the line.
There might be some issues from the not-so-sinewave output from most
inverters driving a somewhat inductive load (the NST).  There might be
harmonic content that heats up the NST faster.
