RE: Kaluza and Klein

Hello Steven

Using a four dimensional geometry, where space and time are tied
together by the Lorentz transformations, Maxwell equations can be
rewritten in so called Lorentz invariant form. These new equations are
the relativistic versions of Maxwell equations. Do these relativistic
versions say anything new about electricity and magnetism? The answer is
ABSOLUTELY NO. From the point of view of mechanics though, you'll
probably see some odd business if you happen to witness a tesla coil
passing you at say 99.99999% the speed of light. I would not want to
venture what you would see if a tesla coil were to cross the event
horizon of a black hole.

What's the Theory of Relativity got to do with a tesla coil?
