Re: Displacment current

I dont understand the objection some have to the notion of displacment
current.

You can have energy transfered across two plates that do not touch,
and in a total vacuum - a perfect insulator.

You cannot call this a conduction current, there is no conductor.

When it comes right down to it, conduction current is through mostly
empty space, and is probably just a special case of displacment
current.
